PROJECT SAGI KNUT

In one year the project Sagi Knut has contributed to CASP building 59 houses and one school in the village Ranshet wadi in India.

- For the villagers life has suddenly changed. Now they have hope, and the children can go to school, says Madhav Nene, manager of the relief organization CASP, Ragid region.

CASP (Community Aid and Sponsorship Program) is a national Indian organization supported by NORAD (Norwegian Organization for Reconstructing and Development). Fadderbarnas Fremtid, a Norwegian relief organization, works closely with CASP in India. Funds raised by horse racing is canalized to India and CASP by Fadderbarnas Fremtid.

Fadderbarnas Fremtid and CASP spend little money on administrative work. In fact, Terje Paulsen, founder of Fadderbarnas Fremtid, was imposed a raise for his work. Enthusiasm and the joy of helping others is what drives these people.

HOUSES FROM INTEREST

6-7 % of CASP funds are used for administrative tasks, whereas most relief organizations in India use 12-13%. We want the money we receive to be spent on the objective.

The money we receive from NORAD is deposited into a bank account in the beginning of the year. The interest from the deposit is used for building houses.

In India, running water is no matter of course. The liquid luxury is greatly appreciated by the villagers in Ranshet wadi.
